    1. +xbrakx – I’m not sure if I follow you.. in terms of the effect I had at the time I couldn’t tell you what I had the amp set at. Unfortunately one of my weak areas is not knowing the specifics of the tones and sounds of the amp. I just go by ear and what sounds best. Sorry about that…

    2. +xbrakx That’s just feedback. In the studio i’m sure it was very controlled. Live you’d have to have high gain amps cranked. Just crank the volume and you switch to distortion without touching any strings on the beat before the first note of the chorus you can get the effect with the right amp/pedal.

    3. love you dude. ty.   could you tell me how to do the feedback like in Nirvana-SLTS   at the end of the chorus? kind of UFo sound

    1. Stick with it is all I can say. When I first started learning, I knew the first 15 secs of every song and when it would get complicated, I would just move on to another. Fortunately for you, YouTube is around and I didn’t have it as a teenager in 96 when I started. Don’t go for speed. Just a nice slow accuracy, speed will come with muscle memory…trust. When all else fails, learn green day, they barely ever progressed out of power chords.

  1. Man I gotta say this tutorial was fucken good man I played this song in one day man thanks now I can jam out

  2. Awesome video! Great job with the walk through! What is that little section after the bridge but before the solo? I watched your vid 2 extra times just to make sure I didn’t miss it in case you did mention. Great job!

  3. You’re bending the wrong note after the power chords in the second chorus. It’s a unison bend on the 5th fret of the b and 7th fret of the g

  4. Any answers as to why I have to press till my fingers are bleeding in order for the chord to sound correct? I can play just fine on my friends guitar but for some reason mine doesn’t sound right when I strum even though it is tuned.

    1. Andy Tapia basically , you are going to tune all of your strings half a note.Type half step down tuning to youtube and it should be of help to you.Good luck !

  5. It seems like you added the 16th fret on the b string in your tabs that isn’t in your actual play-through.

The (*16*) is what I’m referring to.
